Getting over it

Well, the past week has been pure joy – NOT! I managed to get some type of nasty virus (or ?) from my kids last week and am just now, starting to get over it. I’m sure it wasn’t the flu (had a flu shot earlier) – my guess is that it is some type of virus. Nasty cough, wild temperature swings, achy, etc. I stocked up on food when I felt it coming on (as I knew, from my kids that this thing lasts about a week) and went to bed. While I slept most of the time, I did very little else. Didn’t even feel like reading. Since Sunday, I started watching some really BAD horror moves (I bought a set of 50 movies for $19  – that, alone, should say something about how BAD these movies are) and started watching them when I began to feel up to it. I’ve got to admit, these must be some of the WORST movies ever made – but they perfect to fry one’s brain on when getting over the crud.

While I’ve been “up and around” now for the past two days, I remain very, very tired and worn out. Fortunately, I should have recovered completely by Christmas. As I’m notorious for getting sick on Christmas Day (including the the last time I had to flu), I’m glad for this small favor.
